Vragen
over de levering van SOTAS systemen aan Saoedi-Arabie en VAE zijn
beantwoord, maar een groot deel van de antwoorden gaan over vragen
die neit gesteld zijn. SP Kamerlid vroeg niet naar de export van
strategische systemen, maar naar de export en medewerking aan Abrams
tanks. Door het zo te vernauwen veegt Minister Kaag de hete aardappel

Deze
week werd het lang verwachte en lijvige (564 pagina's) 19e
jaarrapport wapenexporten van de Europese Unie gepubliceerd in de
talen van de EU (zie 3 en 7). Op de website van het Europese Netwerk
tegen de Wapenhandel (ENAAT) staat een zoekmachine die het inzichtelijker
maakt.
Irritant blijft dat ook na
bijna twee decennia nog niet alle landen er in slagen om zowel
cijfers voor vergunnigen als daadwerkelijke exporten te geven.
